Music Quest: Making the Connection!

Ages 7-11

One Day Workshop
Explore the connection between music and math with puzzles, games, and projects. Students will embark on a journey to discover music theory through accessible, fun, and creative math-based learning opportunities. Students who are already taking private music lessons will benefit from delving deeper into the structure and logic behind the music, while students with little to no musical background will make real-world mathematical associations while learning the language of music. This is a workshop you won’t want to miss!

In the Suzuki method, group lessons are one of the key building blocks to a full and rich music education. When paired with private lessons, students get the experience of playing together in community and how to work together to achieve a beautiful sound.  Students will gain confidence in playing pieces that they are reviewing and have fun with music based games and activities. This class is designed to better prepare students for recitals and playing for others.
